Warehouse Unveils Prototype at Toronto’s Interior Design Show 2016
(Toronto, ON) Warehouse, a design brand from Ottawa, Ontario, is putting one of its latest projects on display in the Prototype section at the Interior Design Show, January 21st-24th, 2016 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Epona is a rocking horse for the modern child, named for the Gallo-Roman goddess of fertility and protector of horses. Crafted from recycled copper cable, hand-finished Canadian maple wood, and rabbit fur, Epona is an interactive piece of children’s furniture that fits a more modern design taste.
“What excited us most about creating a prototype for IDS was the opportunity to redefine what people traditionally think about products.” stated Ian Murchison, Co-CEO of Warehouse. “We get to use some really cool raw materials and really flex our design muscles.”
This year marks Warehouse’s second appearance at the Interior Design Show as part of the Studio North section which aims to promote the best in Canadian independent design. For more information on IDS and to get tickets, visit interiordesignshow.com
